‘AGT’ Sofia Vergara Praises ‘Spectacular’ Latino Dance Act
There are a lot more golden buzzers this season on America’s Got Talent. This week, Simon Cowell hit the golden buzzer for two different acts and said it was okay. When producers asked him about it, he said it was necessary, so all the judges got a second golden buzzer. Sofia Vergara used hers for a Latino dance act called Legión.
According to Sofia, they were “spectacular.” Here is what Sofia said about the act before hitting her golden buzzer.
Sofia Vergara Amazed By Latino Dance Crew
When the dance crew Legión came out on America’s Got Talent, they introduced themselves as a dance troupe that all work jobs during the days and practice before and after work at the house of one of their parents. They are an Argentinian malambo company and want to do this for a living. After their performance, they are easily one step closer to that dream.
When they got ready to perform, something shocking happened. Two men came out and lit all their feet on fire. They then began their fiery dance routine, which was fast and energetic and included some fun, fiery swordplay. When it ended, the judges were in shock.
Howie, Heidi, and Simon were astonished at the performance. Simon said that it was great to see something from somewhere else in the world that fans in America might not be used to. However, things changed when it got to Sofia Vergara.
The first thing she said was that “all the judges are so, like, fascinated with you guys because, you know, for them, this is something so different and exciting.” However, she said she is from South America and has seen that dance many times before. The crowd booed her before giving her a chance to finish.
She said that they have to do something spectacular to make the dance stand out. “And that was spectacular,” she finished. “I thought it was amazing. I have never seen anything like that.” She then said she was going to give them something and hit the golden buzzer.
There Are Multiple Golden Buzzers On America’s Got Talent
There are multiple golden buzzers this season on America’s Got Talent. The reason was shown in the most recent episode when Simon Cowell gave out two golden buzzers and was called out on it after the second. He said that everyone would get two since he did it.
The second golden buzzer for Simon this season was for the drone team, Sky Elements. When asked about the two golden buzzers, Terry Crews said, “When you put a singer next to a dancer, next to a danger act, next to a magician — they each need their own buzzer … I’ve said this before, AGT is consistently evolving.”
