Since Lisa Marie Presley died, there has been a battle for the rights to her late father’s estate. This battle started out with her mother, Priscilla Presley, claiming that Lisa Marie wanted her to be in control. That led to a legal fight with Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough.

The battle ended when Riley agreed to pay her grandmother $1 million, and Priscilla dropped her fight. Lisa Marie’s ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, claimed a part in that settlement, and now he wants Riley to pay for it.

Michael Lockwood Wants Lisa Marie’s Daughter To Pay Him Six Figures

Michael Lockwood filed court papers asking for a payment of $153,647.32 from Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough. In the filing, Michael said he helped Riley and Priscilla settle their issues and ensured that all court issues were resolved “effectively and cost-efficiently.”

It is also important to know that Michael doesn’t want the money for himself. He said that everything he did was to ensure that Elvis Preseley’s other two grandchildren, Finley and Harper, would have the “financial resources their mother intended.”

Riley Keough, an actress who has appeared in Daisy Jones & The Six, Mad Max: Fury Road, and It Comes at Night, is 35 and was Elvis’ oldest grandchild. Another grandchild, Benjamin Keough, died by suicide in 2020. In 2006, Lisa Marie married Michael Lockwood, and they had fraternal twins Finley and Harper.

Lockwood wants to ensure that Finley and Harper are not left out of the case when dealing with Elvis’s fortune. Lisa Marie left behind $30 million for her three children. Finley and Harper sought and secured the court appointment of their father, Michael Lockwood, to serve as their Guardian Ad Litem.

Courts Delay Decision On Financial Demands

According to court documents (via In Touch Weekly), a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that he needed “additional evidence” for the petition for fees. The fees would come from The Promenade Trust, which holds the entirety of Elvis Presley’s estate.

Lisa Marie Presley executed a living trust in 1993, a legal mechanism for protecting one’s assets and determining how they will be distributed after one dies. Now, Riley Keough holds the rights to the estate, stopping her grandmother’s efforts to take it for herself. It is this estate from which Michael wants the money paid.

Since Michael represents both Finley and Harper, he feels they have as many rights to the money as Riley does. Michael asked Riley to pay $153,647.32. The judge said he needed additional evidence before approving the request.

  1. I think it might be resolved between Priscilla and Reily but never with Michael. He kept taking Lisa to court for more and more money, from what I have read. I also think with him saying it is “in the twins best interest” he benefits as well. moo….
