Remember when Whitney and Hunter discovered that her mom had been married before? They were shocked, and TLC fans believed if they kept that big secret for decades, then they could easily keep Angie a secret as well. Some MBFFL viewers wondered if Glenn had cheated on Babs Thore. However, Angie’s conception happened when Babs was married to someone else.
Glenn Thore sired Angie when he trained with the military in Florida. Later, he shipped out to Asia. Jackie, the mom of his child stayed with an aunt until she gave the child up for adoption. According to the show’s narrative, after Babs passed away. Angie’s family traced the connection and reached out to Glenn. Well, many My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans don’t buy it.

- I feel like they knew about Angie before Babs passed and as soon as she passed RIP, Twit needed a new plot to keep the show going and it just happened to be Glenn’s long lost daughter. The relationship between Angie and Glenn seem like they’ve been in contact for a bit before the season was filmed.
- hmmm totally could have happened that way. Tho Whitney seems to embrace them .. so maybe Babs gave her blessing later?
- I doubt it was anyone’s decision. Adoptions were closed back in the day and I don’t think that Glenn and Babs knew about that whole ancestry DNA stuff.
- I think he was just embarrassed about having a child before he was married, so he kept it hidden.
