Is Kim Kardashian using O.J. Simpson to work the legal system? It seems she thinks that because her family is deeply connected to the now-late football player, she can name-drop. So, what did she need him for, and did she actually go through with it? Keep reading for more details.
Kim Kardashian Using O.J. Simpson To Work Legal System?
O.J. Simpson has always been a link to the Kardashian family. Kris Jenner and her now late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian were best friends with O.J. and his then-wife, Nicole Simpson. Sadly, Nicole and her friend, Ron Goldman were brutally murdered in June 1994. O.J. was the prime suspect and Robert went on to be one of his lawyers. By then, Kris and Robert were divorced so she was on the side of Nicole and her family and loved ones. Kourtney and Kim Kardashian attended the trial but with their father.
O.J. was acquitted of the crime and just recently passed away. Plus, it is the thirtieth anniversary of Nicole’s passing so documentaries and specials are being made with Kris involved. Though it was traumatizing for Kris, Kim is an aspiring lawyer, taking the bar in 2025, so it all makes sense why the case fascinated her. More so, she has suggested maybe O.J. can help her work the legal system. According to People, Kim received a letter for jury duty in the Thursday, June 6th episode of The Kardashians. The time she was called upon also happened to be around her birthday.
So, the mother of four wondered if she could use her family’s connection to O.J. to get out of serving.
“It’s my birthday week and I’ve been called to do jury duty.”
That’s when Kim Kardashian starts to brainstorm ways to get out of her civic duty and she comes upon one:
“I feel like there’s some kind of O.J. connection that could get me out of jury duty. Ha! Just kidding!”
Kim went on to have a lavish birthday celebration filled with family and friends including Hailey Bieber, Ivanka Trump, and Kimora Lee Simmons. So, did she end up attending jury duty or did she find a way out?
Kim Showed Up
Though she did try to avoid going, Kim Kardashian did end up showing up for her date and time, according to the Daily Mail. It was a murder case and she has always been passionate about making sure everyone gets a fair trial and those who have been wrongly accused get their voices heard. In the end, she was excused and it will be shown this season as cameras were supposedly on hand.
