Nicki Minaj Arrested At Airport Puts Amsterdam Authorities On Blast
Nicki Minaj was in Amsterdam and ended up arrested at an airport. The incident went viral because Minaj filmed the entire thing on her phone before the authorities took it away to end the documentation of what was happening. It seems Minaj wanted the world to see what was happening and authorities had other ideas.
Here is what happened to the star and what it ended up leading to.
Nicki Minaj Arrested In Amsterdam
Nicki Minaj was leaving Amsterdam when she was arrested at the airport. She was recording the incident, and one authority figure told her they were arresting her because one guard didn’t like that she filmed how he was treating her. Minaj made sure the videos were live and they went viral after the incident on Saturday morning.
Minaj recorded it on Instagram Live to make sure that it was playing as it happened. This also ensured that the footage couldn’t be deleted to percent its release. Fans then reshared the footage to ensure that, even if Minaj has to delete it, the video is circulated enough that it isn’t going anywhere.
In the video, authorities attempted to take Minaj into custody for drug possession. They said she was under arrest and they were going to search her personal baggage. An official in the video said that Minaj was under arrest for “carrying drugs” and she was told to get into the vehicle to go to the police station.
“I’m not going in there. I need a lawyer present,” Minaj said in the video. She finally relented since she was heading to England for a show and didn’t want to risk delaying the show. An official was then heard saying he would try to get her there as soon as possible.
Nicki Minaj Says They Are Trying To Sabotage Her Tour
In an Instagram post, Nicki Minaj claims they are trying to sabotage her tour. She wrote, “This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal.”

Minaj said they already did a “quick check” and she boarded her private plane. However, they said that because she filmed the officer questioning her, they wanted to do a more in-depth search. “Because you filmed him … He doesn’t believe that you don’t have more with you than you say,” a man says in the video.
Minaj said they found pre-rolls, but a member of her security team said they belonged to him. She also said the pilot was telling her to take down her video.
😩 now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down.
