Ashley Iaconetti, the beloved alum of ABC’s Bachelor franchise, has been open and honest about her journey through pregnancy. In recent weeks, she’s been sharing candid insights into her experience, including pregnancy weight gain. What’s her latest advice for followers?

Ashley Iaconetti Talks Breastfeeding

Ashley Iaconetti met her future husband, Jared Haibon, on Season 2 of Bachelor In Paradise. Their friendship later blossomed into romance and they wed in 2019.

The fan favorite couple welcomed their first child, Dawson, in 2022. She is currently pregnant with their second child, a boy due in July 2024. Ashley I. has always let fans of the show into many aspects of her life, including her pregnancies.

She recently took questions from fans for an Instagram Q&A. One follower wanted to know if she plans to breastfeed her second child or use only formula. She shared that she “never felt pressure or a real desire” to breastfeed her first child.

Ashley revealed that she plans to exclusively use formula with baby #2 like she did with Dawson. “He loved his formula and digested it well,” she wrote about her first son.

The BIP alum shared how using formula made postpartum easier for her. “Postpartum was a great season for me. I never felt very tired and I loved having my body back to being just mine.”

Weight gain is an expected side effect of pregnancy, but many women, even famous celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian, still struggle with body image issues. But Ashley Iaconetti thinks there’s too much focus on how much weight pregnant women gain.

According to bachelornation.com, a pregnant follower complained of a doctor who told her that she was gaining too much weight. Ashley responded that she’s gotten several complaints about that issue from others. She added, “I am happy to have a doctor who doesn’t make weight gain in pregnancy a big deal.”

She revealed that it hasn’t been an issue for her. “I gained 40 pounds. with Dawson and at 28 weeks right now I’ve gained 25 pounds,” Ashley revealed.

The Bachelor Nation star went on to add her personal opinion: “Unless it’s truly unhealthy, I think we need to chill about weight gain.”

Ashley’s willingness to discuss the realities of pregnancy weight gain – both the physical and emotional aspects – has sparked important conversations among her fans and followers.
