Nia Sioux Wouldn’t Do ‘Dance Moms’ Reunions — Why?
It’s been quite some time since new episodes of Dance Moms appeared on television screens all over the world. Now the girls are adults. Several will appear on the upcoming 10-year reunion special, which debuts tonight.
However, Nia Sioux is one dancer who chose not to attend. Hear what she had to say about the subject.
Nia Sioux Sets The Record Straight About The Reunion
When the Dance Moms 10-year reunion premieres tonight, viewers will get the chance to hear from the former child stars themselves. However, not all of Abby Lee Miller’s former dancers attended. Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler, as well as Nia Sioux, chose not to come.
Now, Nia is speaking up about the situation.
“Personally, I wasn’t going to say anything ’cause I just didn’t want to start drama — not that this would even start drama, it really shouldn’t. And also, I didn’t want to make it because I don’t want it to seem like I’m searching for attention because I really don’t care,” Nia shared with her followers. “I really don’t need the attention.”
The former child star added that many people have asked her why she chose to sit out. But really, the answer isn’t very dramatic at all.
“Hate to break it to you guys, but the reason is quite simple. I just really didn’t want to do it,” Nia continued. “Yeah, it’s pretty plain and simple. I just didn’t want to do it. Some people think it was because I had sorority stuff. Nope, I didn’t. Some people think it’s because I’m in school. I am in school, but it wouldn’t have been an issue. I just didn’t want to do it, and that’s a good enough answer and that’s a good enough reason.”
