Counting On alum Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth is making a lot of fans worried for her son, Gideon. The 26-year-old mom has been sharing cute moments with her kids on social media. She even celebrated some of their milestones, including Gideon’s first time reading a book. But many did not expect shocking news from Joy-Anna. Counting On: Joy-Anna Duggar Celebrates Gideon’s Latest Milestone
Joy-Anna recently took to Instagram to share good news about her son, Gideon. According to the former Counting On star, her son was so happy after reading his first book. She also added that homeschooling may be difficult, but it allows her to make adjustments based on Gideon’s learning capabilities.
Joy-Anna previously revealed that Gideon was a little bit behind when it came to understanding. He was even sent to a speech therapist to help with his communication skills. But it seems they’re not the only problems Austin and Joy-Anna are facing today with Gideon.
Joy-Anna Shares Worrying Update About Gideon’s Health
In a YouTube post, Joy-Anna shared a 20-minute video featuring their family get-away, which quickly turned sideways due to Gideon’s alleged asthma. According to the Counting On alum, her son has been “fussy” and “snotty.” She even shared a clip of Gideon with his nose bleeding. Joy-Anna later revealed that Gideon’s allergy has been showing up and he’s been having difficulties breathing, though she clarified that they’ve been giving him medicines.
Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth got emotional during the vlog as she worried that Gideon’s condition may get worse. She also assumes that he may be suffering from asthma. But they wanted to make sure by waiting for the doctor’s findings and advice. The ninth Duggar child received positive messages from her viewers.

Despite the sad update about Gideon, Joy-Anna still shared glimpses of their quick getaway. They went to a theme park with Austin’s family. Gideon also had a blast during the trip, despite his condition.
By the end of the video, Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth shared a scene from Gideon’s checkup. According to the Counting On alum, his difficulty breathing and fever have died down. She also said the doctors believed it was only some kind of pollen allergy.
