Amy Duggar Claims She Was Branded ‘Crazy’ By The Family
Counting On alum Amy Duggar King has been making headlines following her recent interview. The 37-year-old mom caught the attention of many after sharing how much she wanted her imprisoned cousin, Josh, to suffer behind bars. She also shared one of her last interactions with Anna. But this time, the Duggar cousin opened up about why she was allegedly branded “crazy” by the family. Keep reading to see her shocking statements.
Counting On: Amy Duggar Doesn’t Believe Josh Will Change
Amy talked about Josh during her recent interview. According to the former Counting On star, her disgraced cousin deserves all his time in jail. She even hopes that Josh will mess up again and receive a longer sentence. She doesn’t want him to get out of prison, as he may only get back to the horrible things he did in the past. “I don’t believe that someone with that kind of disorder can change. I really truly don’t think that is something that can be medically fixed,” she added.
Amy Claims She Was Branded Crazy By The Duggar Family
Aside from Josh, Amy Duggar King also discussed why she was allegedly branded “crazy” by the Duggar family. According to the Counting On alum, she’s the “original, OG black sheep,” before saying that she was looked down upon for wearing tank tops and distressed denim. She was also very young at the time and just accepted the image given to her.
“On the show, of course, I was literally called Crazy Cousin Amy, was my name. And I was like, ‘Why am I crazy? Why am I being called this?” she added, explaining that she believed everything that she was told, especially with her reputation of being a “bad seed.” However, Amy realized that things weren’t right. She told herself that she never had a police record or showed “crazy” behavior during the show. “I feel like they did not know how to handle someone that wasn’t like them. They had to have a villain,” she said.
Counting On: Amy Duggar Shares Future Projects
During the same interview, Amy shared her upcoming projects. According to the Counting On alum, she has some big things on the horizon, including a book. There have been speculations that she’ll publish a tell-all book against the Duggar family, which she has also hinted at for years.
However, Amy Duggar King clarified that the book she’s been writing is only about “healing” and all her experiences during the show. “I’m not really sure of what it’s going to equal or what will happen with it, but right now it’s just really a healing moment for me and it’s been really good,” she added.
