Jeopardy! fans are thrilled that the game show has returned to its regular programming after weeks of tournaments. Even though they’re happy to see the game back to its regular schedule, viewers found something that made them flood social media with complaints. The latest episode of Jeopardy! needed a spoiler alert. Continue to see what has fans up in arms.

Jeopardy! Accidentally Reveals Winners Online

The Jeopardy! Contestant Zone prematurely revealed who won Tuesday’s episode.

Viewers are able to see each day’s contestants via the game show’s online Contestant Zone. The tracker displays the contestants before the new episode of Jeopardy! airs. It also lets you know who the returning champion is as well as the contestants they will face.

They are also supposed to be shown in the outfits they wear on stage for the game show. Several times over the last few weeks, the winner has been shown in a different outfit from the one they wore to compete.

This is how fans figured out who won Tuesday’s episode before it aired. The one-day champion Nam Nguyen went up against Mark Lashley and lost at the last minute.

On stage, Mark wore a green sweater with a blue shirt. In his photo on the Contestant Zone, he was wearing a pink shirt with a blue sweater. So, it was obvious to fans that he would go on to play another game. The same thing happened with Nam, who won the game the day before. He wore a maroon cardigan in the episode that aired. Online he was wearing a maroon blazer, which he sported when he went up against Mark.

Fans Call Out The Game Show For The Slip-Up

Reddit user posted about the slip-up. They titled the post, “Dear Jeopardy Web Team: Stop Giving Away Game Results With the Incorrect Clothes On Winning Contestant Portraits. It’s dumb and bad, and it’s happened at least twice this week. Stop it or be shunned.”

Other viewers commented on the post, fed up with the Jeopardy! mistake. “Yes, please! I can’t go on the website anymore because of this!” one person wrote. Another agreed, “I find it annoying that they give away the winner. Hopefully it’s a mistake they notice and fix in the future.”

Not everyone found the slip-up that serious though. “That’s actually hilarious, but maybe just don’t go on the Jeopardy website and look at winning contestant portraits?” one fan commented. Another tried to explain the problem, “It’s probably because they only take pics at the end of a run, not after every game.” A third person joked, “This is why all contestants should wear jumpsuits a la Squid Game.”

This isn’t the only time in recent history that Jeopardy! gave away the winner either. Last week, they uploaded a clip to YouTube that spoiled the results of the next day’s game.

For the sake of the fans, let’s hope they get it together soon.
