The road to love on The Bachelor almost always has a pothole or two. How could it not, with multiple women competing for one man’s affection? For Kaity Biggar, she knew Zach Shallcross was the one for her.
But did he know she was the one for him? He recently revealed that he didn’t know who he would pick until the season was almost over. His romance with Kaity Biggar hit a speed bump after he admitted that he was intimate with another finalist, Gabi Elnicki.
The former college football star ultimately proposed to Kaity, and the two have been building a life together in Austin, Texas. The couple said on the After The Final Rose special in 2023 that they were eyeing a wedding in 2025.
According to Kaity’s recent update, they are still on track to exchange vows next year.

Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross seem to have one of the strongest post-show relationships. It could be because they immediately moved in together, unlike Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. The Golden Bachelor couple announced earlier this month that they were divorcing after three months of marriage.
While the path to lasting love wasn’t easy, it seems Kaity and Zach have fond memories of their time on The Bachelor. She took to her Instagram Story this week to share details on one special keepsake they saved from the show.
She shared a cute video of her walking with her fiance. The clip focused on their cowboy attire. Kaity wore a white dress and denim jacket. Zach wore jeans and a white T-shirt under a long-sleeved denim shirt.
But the main focus was their boots. Kaity revealed that the boots were the same ones they bought during her hometown date during the show.
“Fun fact: On our hometown date in Austin we went to a boot shop and these are the kicks we picked out together,” Kaity shared.
They also went grocery shopping during the hometown date to experience things ‘normal’ couples do together.
Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross aren’t the only couple to save keepsakes from The Bachelor. Season 28 star Joey Graziadei kept a voodoo doll with him for the entire season after contestant Kelsey Anderson gave it to him on Night One. He ended up proposing to Kelsey in the season finale.
