Status Check: Are Zach Shallcross & Kaity Biggar Still Together?

Season 27 of The Bachelor was marred by heartbreak and controversy, particularly surrounding the Fantasy Suite episode. Zach Shallcross broke a vow of abstinence he had set for himself. Gabi and Zach agreed to keep the details of their overnight date private. However, he confessed the secret to his other finalist, Kaity Biggar.

During the final rose ceremony, he sent Gabi Elnicki home and proposed to Kaity Biggar. The couple have been the subject of multiple split rumors. Are they still together?

Almost a year after the proposal aired on TV, Kaity and Zach are happily living together in Austin, Texas. But don’t expect wedding bells any time soon.

Zach’s ex debuted a new relationship in September 2023, but it’s unclear if they are still together.

Gabi Elnicki Reveals Big Sign She Wasn’t Bachelor Winner

Gabi Elnicki had all the reasons in the world to think she might end up engaged to Zach Shallcross. After all, she made it all the way to the final two. Her split from Zach Shallcross was particularly difficult for her because they had been intimate during the Fantasy Suite dates.

But in retrospect, Gabi knew before she stepped on the platform in Thailand that she wasn’t his choice. She told PEOPLE shortly after the March 2023 finale aired that she knew after the Fantasy Suite date. “In that rose ceremony when he was only speaking to Kaity, and he wasn’t making eye contact with me,” she told the outlet.

However, a huge blunder by the producers was the final clue that she wasn’t getting engaged. During a Q&A on her Instagram, she was asked how she knew she was the first to arrive at the location in Thailand where the engagement would be filmed.

In Bachelor tradition, the first to arrive is usually the runner-up.

Similar to her comments after the finale, Gabi said she already knew after her final date with Zach that he wasn’t going to pick her. But that wasn’t the only clue. A producer error was another big sign, literally.

“But what really sealed the deal was the van labeled Rose Ceremony #1,” Gabi revealed on Instagram.
