Taylor Swift’s New Track Takes Another Shot At Kim Kardashian
After Taylor Swift dropped a double album, fans ravenously devoured the new materials. However, one song shows the pop icon is not quite over the feud between her and Kim Kardashian and Kim’s ex, Kanye West. Seemingly, Taylor has taken another shot at her well-known foe.
Taylor Swift Is Full Of Surprises
Although the initial feud began nearly eight years ago, it seemingly hasn’t been put to bed just yet. In the extra shocking double album release, Taylor Swift gave fans more than they could ever hope for! At 2 a.m. Taylor made a surprising X post sharing a bonus album containing fifteen additional songs for The Tortured Poets Department. When the albums were released, devote fans combed through the new songs. Undeniably, they found a hidden shade toward Kim Kardashian in the new release.
Taylor Swift Takes Another Shot At Kim Kardashian
In the new release, Taylor Swift has seemingly taken another shot at nemesis Kim Kardashian. In the twenty-fourth track, “thanK you aIMee,” Taylor appears to jab Kim and her daughter North West. Paying close attention to the capital letters, fans caught the hint “KIM.” Then as they listen to the song it points to the animosity between Taylor and Kim.
During the song, one line says, “There’s a bronze spray-tanned statue of you and a plaque underneath it / That threatens to push me down the stairs, at our school.” Another part includes, “And so I changed your name and any real defining clues.” Furthermore, Taylor Swift brings North West into it. She says, “And one day, your kid comes home singin’ a song that only us two is gonna know is about you.” Likewise, Taylor calls out Kim for strategically kicking her secretly. “Cause all that time you were throwing punches.” Seemingly, she is referring to Kim and North dancing on their joint TikTok in January 2023, to Taylor’s 2014 hit, “Shake It Off.”
Drama Sells
While the feud began with Kanye West running up on the VMAs stage in 2009 stealing Taylor Swift’s moment as Best Female Video winner, it appears to still live on. Kanye grabs the mic out of Taylor’s hand and says, “Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you finish … but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!” Since then, there have been back-and-forth shots and banter taken by Taylor, Kim, and Kanye. Undeniably, it has been a messy drama-filled battle that seems to draw people in.
Fans’ Reactions Vary To Taylor Swift’s Shot
But so far, fans are a bit mixed about Taylor Swift’s latest swipe. Some fans are praising her counter against Kim Kardashian and others think it is time to move on:
- “Taylor clocking kim k and then saying ‘these stories aren’t mine anymore’ is sending me into orbit. shes like ok swifties you can deal with this one.”
- “She needs to grow, she is like 32? And still shading people for a drama that happened 8 years ago. Just solve the problem as adults pls,” someone says on X.
- “Shes still not over it? It’s been years,” another thinks.
- Additionally, one fan encourages her to let it die. Saying, “Girl move on. It’s been eight years.”
- “I’m not trying to sh*t on Taylor Swift but am I the only one that thinks her bringing up Kim K’s kids and saying her mom wished she was dead over a decade old drama is insane? lol.”
