Rumors circulated throughout 2024 about marriage problems between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. The rumors claimed they were spending more time apart and that divorce was inevitable. Just before Gwen takes the stage at Coachella with No Doubt, she has addressed these rumors.

Gwen Stefani Talks Rumors Of Marriage Struggles

In a recent interview, Gwen Stefani spoke about her career, her place in today’s musical world, and her struggles as a musician in 2024. However, the discussion went to Blake Shelton and she got a little more candid. She didn’t seem concerned about all the rumors about her marriage problems, simply stating that “the truth is I am in love with my best friend” (via Nylon).

Stefani admitted that there are times she wonders if there are problems, but she quickly realizes the truth. “All this sh*t I’m thinking of in my brain, that’s all it is — I’m overthinking,” she said. This includes any struggles at maintaining a healthy marriage. It also includes her doubts about her place in the world of music. Gwen said she sometimes needs to get out of her own head.

Gwen then touched on the rumors and “lies” circulating on the internet. Many stories claim an “insider” says there are problems. They claim a divorce is coming. However, Gwen dismisses these anonymous sources. She says they are in love and none of the rumors can “get to us.” She went on to mock a recent story that claimed they were planning a divorce. “It’s just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is.”

Gwen also said that people would read into a song she or Blake wrote and recorded and find “hidden messages.” She said the negativity of the lies written online would never cause her to share “a song that I didn’t write for anybody else but myself and Blake.”

Gwen bluntly stated, “When you’re in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us. You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship.” This has kept things healthy for them, even as Gwen said she sometimes remembers her divorce from Gavin Rossdale, with whom she has three kids.

Instead of talking about the lies and rumors surrounding her and Blake Shelton, Gwen seems more interested in talking about her music. With No Doubt reuniting at Coachella, it gives her fans a chance to see what made them fall in love with her in the first place. It also gives Gwen a chance to slip into a familiar pair of shoes as she still struggles to find what music she wants to make in the future.
