Cheyenne Floyd Knows She Was A Bully, Defends Behavior

Family Reunion is kicking off and the couples are trying to figure out how they can make their relationships stronger. Some do not think they need any help while others are coming with severe trust issues. Of course, there are cast members who have long histories together and are excited to be reunited. Then, there are those who never mended fences such as Cheyenne Floyd and Mackenzie McKee. Years back, they got into it when Mackenzie was not happy about the new Vice President being Kamala Harris. She felt that “out of all of the amazing colored women in this world,” this was the first female VP.

It was the way that she used the term “colored women” which was the real trigger. When Mackenzie saw the error of her ways, she apologized on a public forum. Then, she called Cheyenne herself to say she was sorry but it did not work. Soon enough, Cheyenne vocalized how she felt regarding Mackenzie and it was not positive so she received backlash. Now, they are in the same house together in Colombia and Cheyenne is coming off horribly. She has been asked if editing has been making her look like a bully but she denies that. This is just who she is.

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Cheyenne Floyd was completely cold to Mackenzie McKee when she first arrived at Family Reunion. Fans wondered if she had been edited to look angry or bitter but she had this to say:

“It is a TV show, and I think editing and the music and, like, the back-and-forth panning of the cameras all play a part in the perception of how things happened. But, at the end of the day, looking at it, and seeing my personal reactions, I would say I wasn’t necessarily nice [to Mackenzie]. I think I was still in a really angry place. As much as I wanted to think in my head that I was mature and over it, I don’t think I was. I think seeing her that night– the first night— and the energy she had towards me, just automatically made me shut down again. I don’t think the show portrayed it any different than it happened.”

So, Cheyenne is taking full responsibility for looking and acting because that is exactly how she felt. However, she does note that the editors could not help but add a few extra touches here and there for a more dramatic effect.

Does It Get Better?

So, do the Teen Mom stars ever reconcile or do they stay in that icky place? According to Cheyenne Floyd, they do end up talking at some point. Yet, viewers will just have to wait and see if she and Mackenzie McKee can work out their drama and make amends. They may need some therapy while they are away just like the couples will and do. Hopefully, they can come to an understanding and become friends but time will tell.

Do you think they will find a common ground? Let us know in the comments and watch Teen Mom: Family Reunion Wednesdays on MTV.
