Tori Spelling Drops Bombshell On Dean In Shocking Way
Tori Spelling filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Dean McDermott, on March 29, 2024, which was last Friday. Ironically, last Friday was also “Good Friday.” After years of being in an unhappy marriage, the former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 had finally had enough. Tori Spelling dropped this bombshell on Dean McDermott in one of the most shocking ways possible.
The Divorce
The divorce documents were filed in court last Friday. Those documents stated irreconcilable differences was the reason the former child star wanted to end her marriage of 18 years.
The documents also revealed she was seeking full custody of the five children the couple have together. They also revealed she wanted to share joint legal custody with Dean McDermott. Tori Spelling included visitation rights for McDermott in the legal documents.
The mother of five did not go about informing Dean McDermott about her filing for divorce in a conventional way. In fact, it was probably one of the most unconventional ways anyone could learn their spouse had filed for divorce.
How Tori Spelling Dropped This Bombshell
Tori Spelling dropped this bombshell on misSpelling. This is new podcast the former child star has just started. In fact, misSpelling is so new, it was on the premiere of this podcast when Tori Spelling made the choice to tell Dean McDermott she had filed for divorce.
In the middle of the first-ever misSpelling podcast, Tori Spelling calls Dean McDermott. During this phone call, she informed she had filed for divorce.
How The Phone Call Went
“They’ve done it. It’s the formality. It’s just the one sheet you check off, and next you’ll have to sign it,” Tori Spelling told Dean McDermott in the phone call.
Dean McDermott’s side of the conversation was not heard during the misSpelling podcast. His estranged wife made the choice to keep what he was saying to her private.
It did appear the couple was arguing when Tori Spelling said “In all honesty after this whole journey, if it’s about … who files first, the other person is wrong, I feel like I deserve to file first then. You basically put it out there with Daily Mail and said everything you’ve done to me over the years, so I think it makes perfect sense that it followed up that I would file.”
Reaction To The Tori Spelling Podcast
Spelling has received a lot of heat for telling Dean McDermott she filed for divorce during her first-ever podcast. The comments she has gotten have been cruel and judgmental. Some of them have even included remarks about her five children, who are completely blameless in this entire situation.
The comments accuse Tori of being selfish and only wanting attention. One went as far as to say “she’s less than nobody.” The mother of five received little, if any, compassion in the comments.
Tell us what you think. Are you surprised Tori Spelling told Dean McDermott about filing for divorce during her podcast? Seeing they have been separated for so long, was this truly a “bombshell” or was Dean McDermott expecting it? Sound off in the comment section below.
