Deadline has reported that When Calls The Heart alum Jocelyn Hudon has joined Chicago Fire. She is joining the long-running series in a recurring role. She is portraying a new paramedic. This has been a season of change for the hit NBC series. This new character could certainly add an intriguing new storyline.

When Calls The Heart Alum ‘Beyond Grateful’

Late on Friday, the When Calls The Heart alum posted the news on Instagram. The post, geo-tagged Chicago, Illinois, said “Beyond beyond beyond grateful. 🚒🔥🧯🍕🙏🏼😭🫶🏻”

However, the Romance With A Twist star did not share any information on her new character. Nor has she revealed when her character will be introduced in the series. However, IMDb reveals that she will be in the upcoming episode entitled “Something About Her.” This will premiere on Wednesday, April 3.

Fans will have to tune in to Chicago Fire to learn more about Jocelyn’s new character.

What Happened To When Calls The Heart Spinoff When Hope Calls?

Hearties have wondered what became of the When Calls The Heart spinoff When Hope Calls. Season 1 premiered on Hallmark Movies Now before premiering on the Hallmark Channel right after new episodes of WCTH Season 7. However, the Hallmark Channel did not renew the spinoff.

But, in 2021 Great American Family announced they were bringing the series back. They announced When Hope Calls Christmas. Although Lori Loughlin joined this episode, and Daniel Lissing came back in a haunting cameo as well as Morgan Kohan. Yet, Jocelyn Hudon did not return for this reboot.

Since this broadcast, nothing has been announced. But, Sullivan’s Crossing star Morgan Kohan did share that When Hope Calls was not coming back.
