Quiet On Set Uncovers A Dark Side Of Kids TV

Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV has already aired four episodes, which are available to stream on Max. The series, which has since gone viral, took a look at the stories of different child actors from the 90s and early 2000s who worked at Nickelodeon and specifically worked with producer Dan Schnieder. The series has featured cast members from All That, The Amanda Show, and Drake & Josh.

In the first four episodes, Drake Bell came forward and opened up about his story of sexual abuse at the hands of acting coach Brian Peck. Peck only served 16 months in prison for his crimes and many of Drake Bell’s colleagues wrote letters of support for him at the time.

Since the release of the series, Nickelodeon has released a statement saying that they have investigated all the claims being made in the documentary.

It was thought that the series was over after episode 4, but Investigation Discovery has revealed that a surprise fifth episode will air soon.

What To Expect From Episode 5

Episode 5 of Quiet On Set is called “Breaking the Silence.” It is supposed to focus on the treatment of the child actors on set with Dan Schnieder, like the previous four episodes. However, episode 5 will feature some of the earlier child stars.

Jason Sarlanis is the president of TNT, TBS, TruTV, ID & HLN linear, and streaming. He said, “With ‘Breaking the Silence,’ we’re digging deeper into the crucial conversations the docuseries ignited and exploring the lingering questions left in their wake to provide further insight from the brave voices who’ve spoken out previously and those who are coming forward again.”

Drake Bell will appear in episode 5 once again along with Giovonnie Samuels and Bryan Hearne, who also appeared in the first four episodes. A new face will join the docuseries in the surprise installation though.

All That cast member Shane Lyons will sit down with Soledad O’Brien “for an important discussion about the industry, then and now.” O’Brien will be leading a discussion on where the child acting industry can go from here, what changes it can make, and how producers can create safe spaces for kids.

Since its debut on March 17, Quiet On Set has been watched by more than 16 million viewers on cable, Max, and Discovery+. It has reportedly reached the largest audience of any unscripted series since the launch of the Max platform.

The fifth episode of the docuseries will air on the ID channel on April 7. It will be available to stream on Max afterward.
