Lately, some of The Talk fans are picking up on clues that lead them to believe the long-running show is heading toward cancelation. Many are seeing the writing on the wall that the show is about to lose its daytime schedule.

The Talk Season 14

Presently, The Talk panel has Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Natalie Morales. Each of these key players has conversations about the latest headlines, hot topics, current events, and public interest stories happening around the world. Currently, it is in its fourteenth season. Originally, the show’s inception was by actress and host Sara Gilbert. First premiering on October 18, 2010, taking over the timeslot for the long-term soap, As The World Turns which ran for 54 seasons. However, at this time, the show has yet to receive a renewal for Season 15.

The Talk Fans See Clues To Cancelation

Significantly, The Talk fans have noted a very important clue that cancelation may be imminent. Notably, the show is still waiting for its green light to proceed with Season 15. However, fans realize the announcement of CBS picking up the all-Black soap opera The Gates means something’s got to go. Since the network has confirmed it will add The Gates to its daytime TV line-up, eagle-eye fans are scoping out the ratings of current shows. Squeezing in a new show will take some finagaling. Notably, both soap operas The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful have renewal offers, seemingly securing their spots. Likewise, Let’s Make A Deal and The Price is Right continue to have strong ratings for CBS. Most likely, these classics will continue to hold their daytime spots.

The Talk Viewers Discuss Through Social Media

Further clues were that The Talk wasn’t part of the People’s Choice Awards. Significantly, being the only talk show aside from The Tamron Hall Show with a nomination among many other popular shows. But social media is loving the karmic justice that is seemingly about to unfold.

  • Someone on X says, “CBS cancelled their second longest running soap, [As The World Turns] for it.” Adding, “So it’d be appropriate for a new soap to take it off the air.”
  • “Sorry for those who work on it but I feel like if The Gates gets picked up to series and The Talk gets canceled, I feel like it would be karma because soaps shouldn’t have been canceled for talk shows.”
  • “A soap getting The Talk canceled would be poetic justice #TheGates.”
  • “How fitting for a show that killed As the World Turns to be done in by a new soap opera, and a black one at that. #TheGates.”
  • “I never thought it would be possible that a soap could replace a talk show in this TV landscape, but I want this to happen so badly.”

  1. The Talk should not be canceled. It’s a really good show with really good hosts, despite struggling in the ratings, and it shouldn’t get taken off the air, just so that it could air a new soap opera. The Talk should continue and the plan to air a new soap opera on CBS has got to go. I would hate to not watch my favorite co-host, which is Natalie Morales, on “The Talk”, despite not watching it every day. It would be hard not to watch her on TV on an everyday basis, like it currently is right now, so please don’t take “The Talk” off the air. The only change I would like for “The Talk” to make is for the co-hosts to be all women, like it was before, because that would make the show a whole lot better. Please keep “The Talk” on the air.

  2. Please don’t cancel “The Talk”. I look forward everyday for this show to come on. If anything should be canceled it should be Judge Judy. I used to watch her show, but I don’t like it anymore. She is so insulting, I don’t get any enjoyment watching her show anymore. Besides I look forward to watching The Talk. It’s like a breath of fresh air, instead of fighting and being argumentative as we see on other shows. Another possibility could have The Talk can come on before Let’s Make a Deal, that would be a great lead in. The powers that be already took a 1/2 hour from Drew Barrymorem why not the whole hour !! ….. Just opinion.!!

  3. I LOVE The Talk! What about the 3pm time slot?! Maybe move The Talk to that slot and let’s embrace this new soap as well. Didn’t even know there was a new one set to debut. Good news but leave The Talk alone!

  4. It was my understanding that the new soap was only 30 minutes. That does not explain the entire hour of dropping The Talk.

  5. I thoroughly enjoy the Talk and all of it’s hosts. I love that all of their points of view are discussed and they accept them. Not everyone has to agree but they do it cordially. No arguing or disrespect. I enjoyed it when it was all women but equally so now. Please keep it on the air!! Love Sheryl Underwood and Jerry O’Connell! Humor is a wonderful thing to have in our lives! The serious conversations are much needed also along with the informative.
