Arie Luyendyk Jr. appeared on The Traitors Season 1. Season 2 of the show just wrapped up airing recently and throughout it all Arie has spoken here and there about his time on the show. Fans recently asked him to share secrets from his time on the show. As requested he shared many things some may not have known including the shockingly small salary. What did Arie have to say? Arie Luyendyk Jr. Shares Small Salary From Traitors

Former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. appeared on Season 1 of The Traitors which premiered in January 2023 on Peacock. From time to time he shares some tidbits about his thoughts on Season 2 and also about his own time on the show.

In a recent Q&A on Instagram, Arie was asked if there are any secrets he can share from Season 1. He shared a list of things for eager fans. One thing he shared is that the cast did not actually stay at the castle, they stayed at a hotel. He also revealed filming was very long and generally lasted 18-20 hours each day. Filming lasted four weeks.

Arie then got personal and shared some salary information. He said, “Barely got paid which I didn’t mind but some cast [members] only made $1,000. Rumored season 2 cast pay was in the triple figures haha.”

He also shared that two of the original cast members were taken out of the competition because of Covid. Arie said, “C*vid eliminated 2 cast members and we had to reshoot the entire first episode. Original episode we came in on a train (same train from Harry Potter) but they had to cut it all because of the cast member who got sick.”

Is He In Touch With The Season 1 Winner?

Arie Luyendyk Jr. also revealed if he is in touch with Season 1 winner Cirie Fields. He shared that he was not and had not spoken to her after she betrayed him to win the $250,000. Arie said, “She won it in a dirty way in my opinion but she has to live with that and that’s all I’ll really say.”

Ultimately, Arie self-eliminated from his season. 

Everything else in Arie’s life is great. He and Lauren have three beautiful children and a happy marriage.

They were one of the lucky Bachelor couples to make it.
