Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist married on national television just months after knowing each other. The Golden Bachelor was reportedly filmed in August. It premiered on ABC in late September, but by then, Gerry Turner had already proposed to Theresa Nist.
Viewers didn’t know that until November 30, when the season finale aired. The After The Final Rose special concluded with a wedding announcement. The Golden Wedding took place in early January 2024. The televised wedding was officiated by former contestant and possible Golden Bachelorette Susan Noles.
How are Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist faring in their new marriage? It can be difficult to combine families and lives, especially at their ages. Gerry hails from Indiana, and Theresa calls New Jersey her home. They originally planned to make a fresh start in South Carolina, but Gerry fell in love with New Jersey.
He went back to Indiana a few days after their wedding to retrieve his dog. Gerry, Theresa, and Cody, the Goldendoodle, appear to reside together in New Jersey.
The Golden Bachelor couple shared a lot on social media about their new life together at first. But they seem to be sharing less after getting constantly blasted by trolls.

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are planning a whirlwind honeymoon in Europe soon. But she recently accompanied her husband back to his hometown to spend time with his friends and family.
Photos popped up on Reddit of Theresa hanging out with some of Gerry’s friends. One photo shows Theresa and Gerry with four other older people – three women and one man. The snapshot appears to have been taken in a bar.
Gushes Over Her Husband’s Buddies
Theresa Nist reunited recently with some of the other Golden Bachelor contestants for a girls’ trip. Gerry wasn’t included, but he made sure to include his wife in a night out on the town with his friends.
A second photo from Reddit shows Theresa and Gerry with one of the women from the first photo. Another friend or an onlooker photobombs the snapshot in the background.
