Sharon Osbourne Says She Can’t Get Hired In United States
Sharon Osbourne was talking to Lauren Simon and Louis Walsh on Celebrity Big Brother and let them know the troubles she was having finding work. According to Sharon, no one in the United States will hire her since The Talk fired her for behind-the-scenes issues. She said she has been “banned” in America.

Sharon Osbourne Can’t Get Hired In America
Sharon Osbourne was one of the hosts of The Talk, but one comment led to further investigations and her eventual termination from the show. The talk show has the hosts discussing current issues, and on one episode, they discussed comments Piers Morgan made about Meghan Markle. Sharon defended Piers, a friend of hers.
After Markle was on an Oprah Winfrey interview and talked about her mental health struggles due to racism. Piers was less than sympathetic. He said, “I wouldn’t believe it if [Markle] read me the weather report.” However, the comments that Piers made were considered racist to many. Sharon said that because he was her friend, people now considered her to be racist as well.
Sheryl Underwood said that Piers’ comments were racist. This led Sharon to defend her friend. She said that Piers is not racist, but since he was talking about “somebody who is mixed race,” people deem him as that. “I support him for his freedom of speech, and he’s my friend,” she said. This led to a deeper look at things Sharon allegedly did while on The Talk.
Former The Talk host Holly Robinson-Peete said Sharon called her “too ghetto” for the daytime talk show. Leah Remini said that Sharon also used “racially-charged language” when talking about Julie Chen Moonves. Sharon Osbourne denied all the allegations, saying “The only thing worse than a disgruntled former employee is a disgruntled former talk show host.” However, The Talk fired her anyway.
Sharon Osbourne Not Able To Find Work After The Talk
While on Celebrity Big Brother, Sharon Osbourne mentioned the termination and said no one will hire her now in America. “I got banned in America,” she said. “I did nothing wrong; I can legally…but nobody will employ me because they say I am racist.”
Lauren Simon mentioned that Sharon Osbourne is Jewish. This comes at a time in America where Jewish people are facing persecution and racism as well. Sharon said that she told the producers of The Talk that she is Jewish and she knows what it is like to be “picked on.” She went on to say that she would never “pick on anyone because of their race or religion.”
Sharon did say that her career in the United Kingdom was not affected. It was just her chances to work in the United States that dried up. “In England and Australia, it never changed. Here it was like I was dead.”
