Honey Boo Boo Reveals Truth About College

When the last season of Family Crisis ended, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson had been accepted to Regis University. Her goal was to become a nurse and in the current season, she will learn that her mother, Mama June, took her money. Though Alana was given a $21K/year scholarship, her tuition is over $40K/year. Therefore, she was counting on money from being on reality television since she was a toddler to help pay her way. A lot was holding her back from wanting to leave Georgia such as her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell’s legal troubles. Plus, her sister, Anna Cardwell had stage 4 cancer but she and Dralin headed off to Colorado.

However, many followers have accused Alana of not really getting a scholarship. They have said that it was given to her in other ways.

  • I’m guessing some of Alana’s scholarships are from her pageants and not because of academic excellence.

Additionally, followers have said that she is not fit to be a nurse either:

    • If I saw this attitude laden, smart a**ed, punk & potty mouthed Nurse Ratchet 2.0 coming into my hospital room, I’d be asking for a hospital transfer STAT.
@lanaaaaaa.0 Just wanted to share that I’ve been reflecting a lot lately, and I’ve finally found my passion in nursing! 🩺 No matter what, I’m committed to pursuing this path, but I’m also open to change if it happens. At the end of the day, I’m grateful to be in college, working towards a degree – something not everyone has the opportunity to do. Sure, I’ve made mistakes, but who hasn’t? I’m focused on bettering myself and breaking generational cycles. Just wanted to put this out there! 💪 #FindingMyPath #GratefulForOpportunities #BreakingCycles #honeybooboo #fyp ♬ original sound – lanaaaa in the houseeee 🥳

Now, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson is clapping back and setting the record straight. She took to TikTok to share that she had seen what people were writing about her. No, it is not a lie about her scholarship. She was going to show the official paperwork from the college. As for becoming a nurse, she admitted that it was challenging and she was having a hard time. However, if she did not fail, she would never be able to learn.

Home In Her House

Currently, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson is at home because it is spring break. However, she is almost done with her second semester. More so, she explained why she wanted to live off campus in the latest episode of Family Crisis. She did not want to have to deal with someone saying that they lived with “Honey Boo Boo” so it was more for her comfort. Ultimately, she knows that this video will end up on Reddit but she wanted to let everyone know that nursing is her passion and there is no stopping her.

Are you proud of her for speaking her truth? Let us know and watch Family Crisis Fridays on WeTV.

  2. My daughter is a nurse and there were a couple of classes she struggled with and now she is teaching on Fridays. She also wants to get her NP. I’m very proud of Alana sticking it out. Georgia Southwestern State University has an excellent nursing school if she decides to come back to Ga. My youngest daughter is about to graduate as a SPED teacher and she’s having a really difficult time getting an apt. So I can totally relate. Good luck Alana, you got this. Love, fellow Ga Peach.

I know you were faced with some difficulties but in my heart I believe it is your destiny. Don’t give up on your dreams. Keep the faith stay strong and keep your eyes on the prise.

  5. Alana, I don’t know about Denver, but a starting nurse’s salary in NJ, starts in the upper $90s and go as high as the $160s as a seasoned veteran Nurse in 20 years. You don’t get a $21k a year scholarship unless you did very well in H.S. Hope you and your sisters get your own show. Get yourself a tax Attorney to have your back. Good luck, Cindy from NJ

  6. Spoiled brat won’t make it and let your mom steal your money sue her be woman stand up stop show and bring brat get career
