Seeking Sister Wife alums the Winder Family’s nasty doxing has shocked fans but ultimately, they went and issued an apology. They are one of the most well-liked families of all of the cast members. Yet, they saw some comments that struck them sideways and they chose to retaliate. Read on for more details.
Winder Family’s Nasty Doxing Shocks Fans, Issues Apology
It has not been an easy run since the Winders joined Seeking Sister Wife in Season 2. Viewers did not care for Colton Winder and felt he was bland. Second wife, Sophie Winder did not live with Colton and his first wife, Tami Winder, and their daughter, Sadie. However, their goal was to show who they were as a plural family and break the stigma. By Season 3, they were completely comfortable, all living together with Sophie expecting her first child. The Winder family was also courting a potential third wife but that fell flat and they ended up not being welcomed back for the following season.
This was fine as they went and expanded their family, adding more children and working on Tami’s fertility issues. Unfortunately, as much as fans wanted them back, they have kept them updated via social media. Recently, the family ended up seeing some negative comments about them and ended up sharing these words on their Instagram.

These words came from a Reddit thread and essentially said Colton Winder wasn’t all that great and it looked like Tami was chronically depressed. There were also super harsh words but the problem was the Winder family called the Redditors out in a public way. Ultimately, they did realize what happened was wrong, and seemingly Colton wrote this:

In the thread, it was suspected that this was sent to them and that is why they reacted so quickly.
To Their Defense
Many Redditors who saw what was said about the Winder family actually disputed the negative words.
- Why does everyone label people who are shy “weird” or “creepy”. Colton seems like a normal guy. They are the only family I’ve seen make polygamy work and look normal.
- I’ve always liked the Winders lol that response is so intelligently worded 😅
Of course, it was noted that being in the public sphere, one should expect that people won’t always say the kindest things. That being said, the Winders followed up their initial posting with this:

It seems they were trying to make amends for calling out someone for just having an opinion. In the end, it is a lesson learned and at least they took responsibility sooner rather than later.
