Jamie Otis Makes Life-Changing Announcement
MAFS Jamie Otis went to social media to share a shocking announcement with fans on Monday night. She and Doug Hehner announced that after three years of trying, Jamie is expecting their third baby. The news comes just as the couple was preparing to start their IVF journey. After experiencing fertility issues, she was blown away that it finally happened naturally.
She’s pregnant but that’s not the shocking part. Jamie has lost pregnancies in the past including her first son Jonathan. So, The Bachelor alum decided to go to a private ultrasound business to see the sac and make sure she was still pregnant. She did this because her doctor’s appointment was not for another two or three weeks.
When Jamie laid on the table and the ultrasound tech began looking for the fetal sac, she found it. Plus, she found another one. Jamie is pregnant with twins. She cried and asked if she was sure. Of course, the tech reminded her it was still very early but yes there were two sacs showing up.
Doug was not there for the initial scan since he had to pick up their son Hendrix from school. However, when he did arrive they had some photos printed out for him to see. He looked for a few moments then it hit him that there were two sacs in the photo.
Jamie noted how much she had prayed for twins and really wanted four or five children. The couple already has a daughter and a son.
The Reactions Are Emotional
The couple has been showing raw emotions when finding out all their news. She did it when she took the pregnancy tests. Then, she did it when she told Doug they were finally pregnant. They even shared Doug’s mom’s reaction to the news.
Then, finally, Jamie was sharing her emotions as the tech told her it was twins.
She and Doug thanked fans for all their support and asked everyone to continue sending them well wishes and prayers. Hopefully, she will be sharing more soon as soon as she sees her doctor in a few weeks.
Congrats to Doug and Jamie!
