Emmy Russell is more than Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter. She is the daughter of Phillip and Patsy Russell. Patsy is the daughter of Lynn. She is also half of the singing duet, The Lynns. Her twin sister, Peggy Lynn, was the other half of the duo. The two performed together in the late 1990s.
The American Idol hopeful is also the great-niece to country music superstar Crystal Gayle. Gayle is Loretta Lynn’s younger sister. The “Don’t Make My Brown Eyes Blue” singer had several country hits as well as many country music awards in the 1970s and 1980s.
