‘American Idol’ Judge Gets Chills During Kaibrienne Richins’ Audition

One American Idol hopeful gave one of the three judges chills while singing. This happened during the audition process. The audition is the first step to getting a golden ticket. The golden ticket allows the contestant to continue in the competition. The American Idol judge who got the chills was none other than country music megastar Luke Bryan.

American Idol  Contestant Gave Luke Bryan Chills

It was Kaibrienne Richins who gave Luke Bryan chills. Based on that fact, it appears the “But I’ve Got A Beer In My Hand” singer really liked what he heard during the audition. Yes, he thought she was so good Bryan got chills.

Richins sang “Something in the Orange.” The song was previously recorded by Zach Bryan. It wasn’t just Luke Bryan who was impressed. Katy Perry, along with Lionel Ritchie were also impressed by her singing voice.

Luke Bryan’s Reaction

Getting chills was not Luke Bryan’s only reaction. “From the first note, I had a full body wave of chills,” the American Idol judge tells her after she is finished singing. “I like the way you shook it out and hacked up something and started singing.”

This American Idol  Hopeful’s Health Issues

Kaibrienne Richins has overcome a lot to get to the first step of becoming the next winner of American Idol. The hopeful singer was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease. Richins explained she was only in the fourth grade when she was first diagnosed. “It’s a thyroid disease that’s so painful and when it flares up, it’s crazy mood swings. It’s been so bad,” she went on to explain.

Despite her health issues, Richins didn’t give up. “The nights that I felt I can’t do anymore, I am just glad that I pushed through,” she said. Based on his reaction, Luke Bryan is also glad she was able to push through and make it to American Idol.

The American Idol Contestant’s Proud Father

Kaibrienne Richins are very proud of their American Idol contestant. Her father, Justin Jewell Richins, went with his daughter to her audition. “It’s been a struggle to see the most beautiful girl in the world, who I know has more potential in her little finger than I will ever have, struggle to regulate her emotions,” the proud father explained. “She can go from ‘this is the best thing in the world’ to turning her to say she wants to die.”

Her father also posted on Instagram. Once again, he shared the pride he feels for his daughter. “Beyond proud of my daughter for chasing her dreams!” he posted. “Her incredible voice has always amazed me, and now the world might just get to witness her talent on American Idol.”
