Nick Viall, Natalie Joy Share Scary Moment During River’s Birth
Former Bachelor Nick Viall and Natalie Joy are sharing their daughter River’s birth story with fans. Now that they are getting accustomed to parent life, they are opening up more and also revealing a scary moment that happened. What did they share with fans? Nick Viall And Natalie Joy Reveal Scary Moment
Former Bachelor Nick Viall and fiance Natalie Joy shared their daughter River’s birth story on The Viall Files. The couple revealed a scary moment that happened when she was born. Luckily, things turned out okay in the end but it was no doubt terrifying for them for a little while.
Natalie revealed that when River Rose was born she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck several times. She said, “I pushed three times … and she came out with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck several times. Which I did not see until my mom showed us the footage that [she] took … and you just see [the nurses] unwrapping the umbilical cord.”
Nick noted how calm the nursing staff was in helping River. He also said that Natalie had prepared him for a possible bump on her head when she was born. He said, “River came out and she had a bump on her head, but thank God Natalie prepped me for that. Because I knew what that was. Had I not, I probably would have been freaking out.”

Nick went on to say that the bump went quickly away. Everything worked out and Nick was even able to cut the umbilical cord.
He was able to comfort his daughter instantly
Nick Viall also shared that at one point River was crying while the doctor examined her and he began crying too. When he walked over to her and comforted her she stopped crying. Natalie noted that River knew his voice.
Aside from their initial scare and River having jaundice, she passed all her tests. Since she did have jaundice she had to sleep in an incubator for two nights under the blue lights. All she had was an eye patch on to protect her.
River Rose is adorable and fans are loving all the photos and updates Natalie and Nick are sharing with everybody.
