Travis Kelce Asked To Sing At The Opening Of Garth Brooks’ Bar
Travis Kelce just might be stepping on Taylor Swift’s toes. Her musical toes, that is. Garth Brooks has asked the Kansas Chief’s tight end to sing at the opening of his new bar, Friends In Low Places Bar and Honky Tonk, in Nashville, Tennessee. The bar will have its grand opening on March 7th of this year and Brooks wants Travis Kelce to be there to sing “Friends In Low Places.”
How Travis Kelce Got The Invitation From Garth Brooks
Garth Brooks was watching the Kansas City Chiefs’ parade which celebrated their Super Bowl win earlier this month. He heard Travis Kelce singing “Friends In Low Places.” Brook knew immediately he wanted Kelce to sing at the grand opening of his latest bar.
“Did you guys see Travis Kelce’s version of ‘Friends in Low Places?’ Did you see him sing this? I loved it, I thought it was fantastic,” Garth Brooks was reported to have said. “It blew me away because I’m sitting there watching it as it’s going down, right. I never expected that.”
The “To Make You Feel My Love” singer offered to send a plane to get Travis Kelce, if he agreed to sing at his grand opening. “You can come by yourself or bring your brother or your gang, whatever you want to do. The plane holds 11, just remember that,” Brooks stated. Based on what Garth Brooks said, he is inviting Taylor Swift as well.
Garth Brooks and his wife, the “Walkaway Joe” singer Trisha Yearwood were not planning on attending the grand opening. Despite that, Brooks said he would be – if Travis Kelce agreed to sing “Friends In Low Places.” Fans of both Brooks and Kelce who are planning to attend the grand opening must be crossing their fingers, in hopes Kelce will say “yes” and sing “Friends In Low Places.”
His Previous “Friends In Low Places” Parade Performance
Travis Kelce’s performance of “Friend In Low Places” at the Kansas City Chiefs’ parade was quite memorable. Perhaps it was memorable for the wrong reasons. Taylor Swift’s boyfriend was drunk. He was very drunk. Travis Kelce was so drunk he could not even read the words of the song off his cell phone. Before singing at Garth Brooks’ new bar, the football superstar should probably ask Taylor Swift for a few voice lessons or, at the very least, he should memorize the words to the “Friends In Low Places.”

This was the same parade where one person was killed and a few dozen others were injured. Gunfire broke out towards the end of the parade, sending people scrambling for safety. Kelce donated $100,000 to two siblings, both of whom were shot during the parade celebrating the Kansas Chiefs Super Bowl win against the San Francisco 49ers.
