Last week, Jane Tennant found herself paired up with Sam Hanna as she tried to rebuild trust with her team and keep her job. What is next in this two-episode story? According to IMDb, “Following the crash of a prisoner transport plane, the NCIS team must find the convicts that escaped onto the island. Meanwhile, Sam Hanna and Tennant are tasked with locating a high-profile Russian prisoner known as “The Chemist.”

Already, NCIS: Hawaii fans are loving the Hanna and Tennant partnership. They have become a dynamic duo. Speaking to Parade, LL Cool J explains why his character balances out Vanessa Lachey’s after what happened at the end of Season 2.
I think that Sam has things that the audience knows about that help him relate to Jane Tennant, and he has thing that the audience doesn’t know about that help him relate to Jane Tennant.
Next, the NCIS: Los Angeles alum went on to share that Sam’s past “experiences and his life’s journey put him in a position to be able to empathize with her.” He even suggests that Sam can relate to her, thus allowing her to “find her sea legs.”
He is there to help build up that confidence in herself that she needs to do this incredibly complicated job.
