When Is ‘Doubling Down With The Derricos’ Season 5 Airing?
In September last year, Doubling Down with the Derricos seemed unlikely to get a renewal by TLC. However, Season 5 might still be the works, and a very strong hint came directly from Deon Derrico, the dad of multiple multiples and a few singletons. When is it likely that the show will start airing again? Read on to find out.
Doubling Down With The Derricos Not Canceled?
While many people believed that the TLC show was canceled by the network, that might not be true. Originally, Deon Derrico reached out to viewers with the sad news that the ratings had dropped. Fearing cancellation, he asked viewers for their help. Previously, the show aired at 10 p.m. ET. So, he and his followers agreed that the family show aired too late. Consequently, he directed them to a forum on TLC to take their survey and keep the show alive.
Simultaneously, a fan of Doubling Down with the Derricos, Kay Lynn started a petition for the renewal of the family show. Only 1,436 people signed it. In the write-up, it noted that TLC didn’t seem to spend much time advertising the show. Additionally, it aired too late. Plus, it might be better to air it in winter. Notably, it’s a clean and fun show and there’s enough weird stuff on the network for those so inclined to watch them.
DDWTD Is Renewed For Season 5 When Will It Air In 2024?
In November of 2023, Deon Derrico posted all about Mother Debbie on Instagram. Not to be confused with Mother Debbie on 90 Day Fiance, she’s the mom of Tiffany. If you don’t know, when she needed heart surgery, the triplet, Dawsyn Derrico needed some heart tissues. Tiffany passed away and her tissue saved the life of a little girl.
Two weeks ago, a Doubling Down with the Derricos fans came across the post about Mother Debbie, and in the comments, they asked, “When does season five start.”
Deon Derrico probably cheered the fan up to no end because he seemed to confirm that DDWTD will return. Here is his reply:

Season 4 premiered in May of 2023, so it looks like the TLC show returns in summer again. So far, apart from Deon Derrico’s comment, the network dropped no hints of Season 5. Still, it seems that the patriarch of 14 children is confident that it will come in May of 2024.
