Mama June Fans Stunned At Her Drastic Backslide
She has always been crass and at times, stomach-turning. Yet, there came a point in Mama June Shannon’s life when she decided to revamp her entire look. She had been overweight and did not care about her appearance for years. This was often a topic of conversation on episodes of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Then, the show was canceled and June decided she was ready for the most dramatic makeover ever. It also helped land her a brand new show, From Not To Hot which documented her journey. She has veneers, her neck tightened, a breast lift/augmentation, arm lipo, tummy tuck/lip, and a gastric sleeve.
It completely transformed her and she looked like a completely different person. Unfortunately, after she got into substance abuse, she needed new veneers and then packed on the pounds. June did want another weight loss procedure but the doctor said not until she changed her lifestyle. After seeing recent videos of June, fans could not believe her drastic backslide so they started a Reddit thread. The OP wrote this:

That was in reference to what June underwent to go from a size 24 to a size 4. Then, she appeared to let herself backslide and go back up on the scale. So, what did fellow Redditors have to say about Mama June going back to her old ways?

Someone who had the same surgery commented on it being a mental game. They shared this about what Mama June needed to do in order to succeed:
- As someone who has has this surgery it’s 98% a mental game. The surgery is a tool but you have to change your lifestyle. You need to address your demons and why you go to the point you did and plan how you will go forward. It’s not an easy thing to do.
It was clear when June attempted to have a revision to her surgery that she had not changed her ways. Her doctor noted she had to be healthy in the way she lived her life to proceed. She seems to be just fine with what she is doing so it is likely she will never get the surgery.
