Katy Perry Shares Her Latest Career Move
After being a judge on American Idol for several seasons, Katy Perry has shared what her next career move will be with her 206 million followers. In a clip shared on Instagram, Katy Perry revealed that she has landed a role with the popular children’s show Peppa Pig. The video showed the “Dark Horse” singer reading lines for the show.

She will be playing the role of Ms. Leopard on Peppa Pig. In the video, Katy Perry can be seen smiling at the camera and introducing her character. “Hi everyone, I’m Mrs. Leopard,” she said. “I can’t wait for you to join the celebrations with us!”
The clip then switched back to the studio view and Katy came out of character and asked for tea. “Where’s the tea? Now what happened to that tea?” She then danced with a stuffed Peppa Pig toy and made a hysterical snorting noise before saying, “Ah ha! Job done.”
The singer-songwriter revealed that both her fans and her daughter Daisy have been pushing for her to make this career move. She captioned the post, “When my fans AND Daisy tell me to do something, it’s done. SURPRISE!!! I got to voice the new Mrs. Leopard in the Peppa Pig Wedding Special! See it in select cinemas starting tomorrow! Drop an oink oink if you’re DELIGHTED.”
The mother of one shares her daughter, Daisy Dove, with her boyfriend Orlando Bloom. The pair have been dating since 2019.
Season 22 Of American Idol Premieres Soon
Despite her new career move, there are no signs that Katy Perry plans to leave American Idol any time soon. She has been actively promoting Season 22 of Idol and sharing sneak peeks leading up to the show’s return to television. A recent preview clip showed Katy moved to tears by one contestant’s performance.

McKenna brought both her adoptive and biological families into the room.
