It was reported that Kelly Jo and Gil raised their kids with the use of “blanket training,” which is often referred to by many as an abusive way of raising a child. Blanket training is a method that includes putting an infant on a blanket and tempting the infant to reach toys off the boundary of the blanket. If they reached the edge, the parents would punish the child. In most cases, smacking is one of the most notorious punishments.
Many people claim that blanket training will help the baby learn how to comfort and behave themselves without being told to when they’re in a blanket. But many deemed the technique abusive. It’s also one of the main reasons why some Bringing Up Bates fans are criticizing Katie for her recent post.
Fans Think Katie Uses Blanket Training For Her Kids
Some Reddit users reacted to Katie Bates Clark’s recent IG Stories post showing her daughter, Hailey, sitting on a blanket. According to the poster, it seems that the Bringing Up Bates star is using the “blanket training” method for her daughter. However, some defended Travis Clark’s wife and said that she may have placed the blanket for her daughter as they were in an airport. Here are some of the comments she received.

Some of Gil and Kelly Jo’s children have already shut down the speculation that they’re using “blanket training” for their kids. One of them was Alyssa, who called out the person criticizing her for using the controversial parenting method. “Wow! So amazing how fast people jump to conclusions. I honestly don’t know where you got the idea that I blanket train or whatever it is you’re referring to. The floor she was playing on was incredibly dirty so I put a blanket down to keep her from getting dirty.” the Bringing Up Bates star said.
Katie Bates Clark has yet to share her comments about the allegations of blanket training her kids. Though many believe that she’s been treating Hailey like a princess.
