Bachelor viewers are no strangers to the extravagant and often intimate 1-on-1 dates that are a cornerstone of the show.

However, recent episodes have sparked a significant uproar among fans calling out the show for the inappropriate dates. Keep reading to find out why fans are upset.

Daisy’s Date With Joey ‘Disrespectful’

We’re just a few episodes into the new season of The Bachelor, but Daisy Kent quickly became a fan favorite. The 25-year-old California resident is the second deaf contestant in the history of the franchise.

Season 25 contestant and Bachelor In Paradise alum Abigail Heringer was the first. Both Abigail and Daisy have cochlear implants.

During her introduction to Joey Graziadei, Daisy Kent kept her disability to herself, but she opened up about it on their one-on-one date.

The couple took a romantic helicopter ride to a musical festival. Daisy, of course, has a fear of helicopters. Veteran Bachelor viewers know that dates on the show often force contestants to confront their biggest fears.

However, some Bachelor Nation fans thought it was an odd choice to send a deaf contestant to a musical festival, even if she has a cochlear implant.

ABC posted a clip of the date on their Instagram. One person replied, “Am I the only one confused as to why she got this type of date? When the producers know she has a hard time hearing in loud and busy areas?”

Another viewer took to Twitter to share their thoughts. “The daisy one is so disrespectful lol,” they tweeted about the music festival date.

Fans Call Out Bachelor For Inappropriate 1-On-1 Dates

The latest episode of Season 28 featured a date between Joey and Jenn Tran. He took her to the beach to catch some waves and California sun. Jenn admitted to being afraid of the ocean, but the tennis instructor was determined to help her overcome her fear.

One disgruntled viewer took to Twitter to call out the producers for this season’s date themes. “The One-On-One dates so far: Daisy (hearing impaired): Helicopter ride and concert Jenn (scared of the ocean): Surfing …WTF is wrong with Bachelor Producers this season??”

Another viewer slammed the producers simply for being lazy. “The Bachelor producers just phoning it in and immediately throwing a wedding dress date and a helicopter date into the second episode.”

Do you agree with some Bachelor Nation fans that Daisy and Jenn’s dates were inappropriate? Sound off in the comments.

Don’t forget that The Bachelor has all-new episodes on Monday, February 12, and Tuesday, February 13.
