On Tuesday, at the TCA (Television Critics Association) Winter 2024 panel, Hallmark made a surprising announcement that should make WCTH fans cheer. According to a post on Twitter by Emily Longeretta, a senior editor at Variety, the two are reuniting.

Many Hearties love to watch the first five seasons of When Calls The Heart. That is because they loved the story of Elizabeth Thatcher and her love for Jack. Even now, six years later, Hearties are still heartbroken over Jack Thornton’s death at the end of Season 5.

Daniel Lissing Left WCTH For Personal Reasons
Back in 2018, Daniel Lissing left WCTH for personal reasons. When Calls The Heart co-creator Brian Bird recalled that they did not want to hold him back, but follow the values of Hope Valley and let him try new things.
What happened next changed his life. He met his wife Nadia while traveling. This would never have happened had Daniel remained on the Hallmark series. Therefore, it was all worth it to him.

What Do We Know Hallmark’s About Santa Tell Me?
WCTH stars Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing have reunited again, but this time in a Hallmark Christmas movie. This movie is called Santa Tell Me. Although there has not been any other information shared at the TCA Winter 2024 panel, there is a listing on In Production Vancouver. This is the industry site that shares information on productions on both television and movies.
According to this listing, they started production on Erin and Daniel’s movie on Monday and it will run through February 26. In addition, the director is Ryan Landels. However, there are no other details available on this Vancouver, BC production.
But, there may be a clue. In late January, Daniel Lissing posted on Instagram a photo of himself and his writing partner Mike. Daniel wrote, “Mike and I have been working together on different projects for years now. The one we’re going to share with the industry this year is by far the most exciting.”

Could it be Santa Tell Me? While anything is possible, Hearties will have to wait a few months to get more details. Hallmark usually tries to keep their holiday content under wraps until October.
But, it would be pretty fantastic if Erin and Daniel shared a couple of harmless BTS photos.
