Swamp People possibly find a Nile crocodile
Swamp People believes it has spotted a Nile crocodile once again. The Instagram account for the reality TV show reveals that it happened on the Thursday episode and it called the crocodile “one of the dealiest creatures.” Troy was talking in the episode and explained how invasive species get btrought into Florida in many ways. These invasive species create a danger to all other wildlife, including domestic animals.
Troy said that they were out looking and they saw something get into the water by an oak tree. He said that it looked like an alligator, but it was a lot bigger and light colored. Troy predicted that it was at least 11 feet and had light markings. He then admittged that it didn’t look like the markings of a gator. He said it looked more like the pattern of a crocodile.
When explaining how something like this could end up in Florida, Troy pointed out the illegal exptic animal trade. He said that people would bring them in on boats or in planes, and often these exptic animals would escape and get into the wildlife. They would then start to damage and even destroy the native species in the area.
This also isn’t the first time that Swamp People have set out to find a Nile crocodile in their hunts. In Season 8, Troy Landry went looking for a Nile crocodile, and it led him deep into the Everglades. The episode was “Savage Pursuit” and aired in 2017.

It is very strange to see one in the swamps in the United States, though. The Nile crocodile is widespread in sub-Saharan Afrifa, the rivers of Madagascar, and the Nile Basin (hence its name). They are mosdtly in the easdtern and southern parts of Africa. Similar crocodiles in the western part of the continent are known as the West African Crocodile and are a different species.
Unlike other breeds of crocodiles, it is not a threatened species. They have also been seen in Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. There are also Nile crocodiles in some zoos, including those in the United States. There are Nile crocodiles in zoos in New York City, Infianapolis, and Florida. Disney’s Animal Kingdom also has Nile crocodiles seen during the Kilimanjaro ride.
