‘Swamp People’ Fans Worry About Joey Edgar After Weight Loss
Fans of Swamp People are worried about star Joey Edgar. In the latest season, as well as with photos from the show, fans of the show noticed a change in the alligator hunter. However, while some fans are worried about his weight loss, others seem to believe it is a good look on the man.
Here is a look at the changes for Joey Edgar and what Swamp People fans think about the man’s new appearance.
Swamp People star Joey Edgar loses a lot of weight
Swamp People is back, and new episodes have fans enjoying the alligator hunters’ new adventures. On top of watching the hunters, fans also have many of them on social media, allowing them to follow their personal lives. One great example is Ashley “Deadeye” Jones, who showed off some photos of her in a fancy dress at a big party. It really made her fans swoon, for sure.
However, when it comes to a recent post by her Swamp People co-star, Joey Edgar, reactions were polarizing. Joey lost a lot of weight. It was obvious in the photos and his appearances in the new season. While it seemed like he looked to be in much better shape, it was normal for many fans to jump to the conclusion that something was wrong.
In a video clip on Instagram, a fan took to the comments to write a compliment, saying, “Looking good. And healthy.” However, not all fans were as complimentary. That was obvious in the Facebook comments of a post that Joey posted of him with a captured alligator.

- “Said the same to my wife”
These comments just show that Swamp People fans are invested in and love the stars of the show. However, it is also problematic when it comes to people’s reactions when someone seems to be possibly making improvements in their life.
It is similar to another popular reality TV star
This is almost the exact same reaction that former American Idol star Randy Jackson gets every time he makes an appearance. Jackson let his fans know through social media that he was taking his health seriously and he began eating healthier and ditching junk food. What resulted was a drastic weight loss.
However, every time that Randy appears on any American Idol special, or makes other special appearances, fans flood the comments with worries. Most comments seem to believe that Randy losing weight means he is in dangerous health. No matter how many times he says his new look is because he is healthier than ever, fans still won’t believe weight loss is a good thing.
There is no word from Joey Edgar about his weight loss, but that won’t stop fans from jumping to conclusions.
