Jenelle Evans’ Eldest Son Finally Reunited With Bio Dad
Teen Mom alum Jenelle Evans’ eldest son, Jace, was finally reunited with his biological father after over a decade apart. Fans met his dad, Andrew Lewis on 16 & Pregnant and know who he is. Yet, he was never stable enough to be in Jace’s life. Now, he is back but in what capacity? Read on for more details.
Jenelle Evans’ Eldest Son Finally Reunited With Bio Dad
When Jenelle Evans got pregnant as a teenager, she thought she would end up with her baby daddy. Andrew Lewis would come and see her and her baby bump. Unfortunately, things did not work out between the two of them. She eventually realized she wanted to have more fun than a child would allow and Andrew was in no position to co-parent. Therefore, she turned custody of their son, Jace over to her mother Barbara. Jenelle went on to have two more children, a son, Kaiser, and a daughter, Ensley. She married Ensley’s father, David Eason and they are still together today.
However, they have had a lot of struggles but she did manage to get custody back of Jace in early 2023. Then, she lost it again after he ran away a handful of times in August and September 2023. He went to live with Barbara again after alleging David had assaulted him and CPS got involved. This led to his dad, Andrew coming back into his life as they were all put under a gag order. Now, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Jace has finally seen his biological father after over a decade.
Andrew Lewis was video-conferenced into a recent court appearance. This included Barbara, Jenelle Evans, and Jace as David Eason is not allowed to have contact with the teen. Per an insider: “Jace was happy about it.” Though the circumstances are not great, this has been a long time coming. Andrew had apparently been trying to connect with Jace but it had petered out thus making Jace careless.
Not The First Time
Back in December 2023, Andrew Lewis was video-conferenced in, however, he was allegedly disciplined by the judge. His behavior was less than desirable so the judge told him to cut it out. Yet, it appears that what he has to say about Jace’s well-being may not mean much. The insider shared this:
“His opinion may not carry much weight [with the judge], though, considering Andrew didn’t have any part in raising Jace. But he will get a chance to voice his opinions on what he thinks should happen with Jace.”
He seems to just want to be in contact with his only child from his relationship with Jenelle Evans. As long as he is consistent, that would be fine with Jace. Do you think this is beneficial for Jace? Or is he best protected from anyone who is not reliable? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
