‘DWTS’ Hayley Erbert Exciting Update & New Projects
After suffering a medical emergency in December 2023, professional dancer Hayley Erbery has been resting and recovering.
Thankfully, she appears to be on the mend. Her husband Derek Hough thanked Hayley during his Golden Globes acceptance speech and detailed how much she inspired him.
As Hayley recovers, she’s already looking forward to the future and has quite a bit to be excited and thankful for. And an upcoming wedding will definitely keep her busy over the next several months.

Hayley Erbert is eager to help with an upcoming wedding
Hayley Erbert was performing with her husband Derek Hough on their Symphony of Dance tour when the unthinkable happened. She suffered a cranial hematoma and required two skull surgeries to save her life.
Thankfully, Hayley Erbert pulled through and is working on the recovery process. Her best friend Britt Stewart just got engaged, giving Hayley something to look forward to.
Britt met her fiance Daniel Durant on the set of Dancing With The Stars Season 31. They finished in 5th place out of 15 couples and the rest is history. And of course, they want Hayley to be part of their big day.
“Hayley was one of the first people that I called after we got engaged,” Britt shared with The Messenger. “She’s like, ‘I am so ready to begin wedding planning with you.’ As soon as I’m ready, she’s ready. … She’s just waiting for me to pick up the phone and call her to dive in deep.”
Britt served as a bridesmaid at Hayley and Derek’s wedding. Now, Britt can’t imagine her own special day without Hayley at her side.
“What happened with Haley is unfathomable,” Britt continued in the interview. “It’s something in life that just makes you put everything into perspective and hold the people that you love the most super close.”
What has the dancer been up to over the last several weeks?
Since the new year, Hayley Erbert Hough has been pretty quiet on social media. Recovering from such an intense medical emergency likely took quite a toll on her.
As 2024 began, she did share an update, expressing how grateful she was for all the positive experiences she had in 2023. Although 2023 didn’t end the way she envisioned, there were plenty of high notes throughout the year. Hayley and Derek married in August and went on plenty of exciting trips together.
