Mama June Shannon Forgets Day Daughter Died?
Did Mama June Shannon forget the actual day that her daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell passed away? She and her entire family have been pushing memorial merch and talking about their sadness. So much so that fans have suggested they exit social media to focus on Anna’s kids and their own grief. Now it seems that June forgot that date Anna passed and fans are fuming. Mama June Shannon Forgets Day Daughter Died?
In early December 2023, it was clear that things were not looking good for Anna Cardwell. That was when her family started to heavily ask for prayers though they did not say why. Yet, to all of the fans and followers, it was clear it was about Anna. On December 10th, Anna’s sisters, Honey Boo Boo and Pumpkin shared she had passed on social media. Her aunt, Doe Doe Shannon did the same and then, Mama June followed explaining Anna died the night prior. She died on December 9th at around 11 pm surrounded by her family.
June even commemorated a month without her daughter. However, she was recently on TikTok and it appears she has completely forgotten the date Anna passed. A Reddit thread was started to discuss this as her followers were shocked. Here’s what the OP wrote:
- She once again showed the urn as well as a crystal she had made with Anna’s ashes in it. The whole time June was calling Anna a B*tch. Then she said, “the two month anniversary is coming up. Anna died on December 8th so her two month anniversary is coming up” Anna died on December 9th not December 8th.
All of the family got some of the ashes but Mama June continues to parade them, even taking them to Disney World. Yet, they were all taken aback by her forgetting the date of her daughter’s passing:
- Yes I heard her say that too!! I was like how can she not know the correct date.
- Drugs. The answer is simply drugs.
- Because June cares about June. That’s it.
Defending June
Some followers did defend Mama June and claimed that no one had actually seen the death certificate. They also tried to claim since she passed at home, and late at night, the time of death could have been off. However, others noted that Anna passed on her daughter’s birthday, December 9th. Plus, some cited the obituary, which clearly states her date of death was December 9th. Therefore, this is the date and Mama June has clearly forgotten.
