In August 2022, Joy-Anna and Austin purchased an 11-acre lot in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Counting On alums later revealed that they’re planning to rezone the property to set up an RV park. However, they faced multiple issues with citizens living around the area. According to reports, Austin believes he could set up 34 RV slits on the property. But many were against his plans, and he eventually had a town meeting with the citizens and his developer in January 2023.

Why Did Austin & Joy-Anna Ditched RV Park Property?

According to reports, Austin and Joy-Anna Duggar sold their RV park property in Arkansas for $165K just 15 months after their purchase. The married couple initially requested to rezone the area, which was originally zoned for agriculture, so they could put up an RV park. But the residents around the property were against their decision and explained that the RV park shouldn’t be put in the middle of a small city and next to a school. There are also reports that some are worried that the RV park may end up as a hideout for criminals and drug users.

Counting On: What’s Next For Joy-Anna Duggar & Austin Forsyth?

Joy-Anna and Austin have yet to share their plans after selling their property in Arkansas. They’ve been discreet about what truly happened as well. The two have shared their interest in living off the grid. In November last year, the Counting On alums went camping with some of the Duggars using their travel trailers. They’ve spent so much time and money renovating their recreational vehicle as well.

In August 2021, Joy-Anna revealed that they had purchased an old 2001 Freightliner Fleetwood, Bounder, Class A, Motorhome. They replaced everything, from the interior to the hardware parts of the vehicle. “Some of my fondest memories are from family road trips and so I cannot wait to get this remodeled and on the road! What are some must have updates that we should add to our RV?!” the ninth Duggar child said.
