Mama June Wants Grandaughter To Be New Honey Boo Boo?

WEtv fans struggle to wrap their minds around why Mama June Shannon having custody of her granddaughter, Kaitlyn is a good idea. Furthermore, fans question why the reality TV star even wants another child. After all, she didn’t exactly have a great track record with her first set of children.

In a new thread on Reddit, some fans now believe Kaitlyn may serve as a replacement for Honey Boo Boo in a lot of ways. For starters, her granddaughter is her chance for redemption as a caregiver. Likewise, fans believe she saw dollar signs as soon as the idea of custody was presented to her.

With Honey Boo Boo going off to college, Mama June Shannon faces the reality of her TV show getting canceled. After all, the cute factor of her daughter will be gone. Now, Alana did express an interest in continuing to film while at school. Though, fans weren’t sure it was the best idea as it would be a huge distraction. Filming Alana at school, however, would potentially mean less screen time for Mama June.

Now that she has her granddaughter living with her, she has the cute factor back in her home. She’s been in the reality TV industry for years, she knows fans enjoy watching the children. Unfortunately, this is why many fans speculate she saw her granddaughter as a way to secure a continued spot on television. At the very least, fans believe she thought her granddaughter would be the way to some sort of paycheck from someone.

No Money, No Custody?

In chatter on a Reddit thread, one fan speculates Mama June would willingly give Kaitlyn to Michael if she couldn’t earn any money off of her. Here’s what other fans had to say about the situation:

“If WeTv dropped the show Kaitlin’s bags would be packed and she’d be shipped off to whoever would have her in about ten seconds.”
“I can almost guarantee Justin would not have any patience for the pageant circuit. Plus it would mess up their filming schedule. Ultimately, fans don’t think Justin has the patience for Kaitlyn to do beauty pageants the same way Honey Boo Boo did. There, however, are rumors Honey Boo Boo only did pageants while she was on Toddlers & Tiaras.

What About Mama June’s Other Granddaughter?

WEtv fans keep coming back to the same question. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, fans want to know why Mama June is not protecting her other granddaughter. She claims Michael is “not the Saint” fans make him out to be. She is ready to fight him to keep Kaitlyn. Sadly, however, she has expressed no interest in Kylee.

Fans are heartbroken for Kylee and Kaitlyn as they navigate life without their mother. The biggest wish fans of Mama June Shannon’s family have is that the girls will eventually be under the same roof again. Presently, they are mourning both the loss of their mother and their sister by being kept apart.
