‘Southern Charm’ Kathryn Dennis Clears Air On Hit & Run
Kathryn Dennis of Bravo’s Southern Charm made headlines last year for her involvement in a hit-and-run. A vehicle registered in her name reportedly hit Berkeley County Sheriff’s Deputy Michelle Ward before fleeing the scene.
The news was even more jarring for Bravo fans because Michelle Ward was tending to a crosswalk in front of an elementary school at the time. So, fans were relieved no children were harmed. But, everyone knew the accident could have been much worse.
While it had been reported early on it was Kathryn Dennis’ vehicle involved in the accident, the Bravo personality had not been arrested. Moreover, Michelle Ward couldn’t get anyone to tell her what was going on. Likewise, she felt that Kathryn was getting special treatment because she was a celebrity.

Per Radar Online, the reality TV star is insisting she had nothing to do with the hit-and-run despite making headlines for her involvement. Thanks to an email exchange between investigators and South Carolina Highway Patrol officials, fans now know a little more about what happened.
Kathryn Dennis told investigators that not only was she not involved in the accident, but that it couldn’t have been her vehicle. She proceeded to insist that both she and her vehicle were at home when the accident happened.
Despite her claims, the report also confirms her vehicle did have damage that was consistent with the accident involving Michelle Ward. Kathryn Dennis explained the damage to her vehicle happened during earlier events.
Reasonable Doubt?
Unfortunately, investigators are at a bit of an impasse with this case. The email exchange reveals that there is enough evidence to suggest that it could have been Kathryn Dennis’ vehicle involved in the accident. There, however, isn’t any evidence to confirm who was driving the vehicle.
Michelle Ward admits she reached out for legal assistance when she felt ignored by the authorities. She wanted answers on what was going on. Unfortunately, it appears as if authorities do not feel as though they have enough evidence to make a case out of it.
Furthermore, they have Kathryn Dennis denying that she or her vehicle was anywhere near where the accident took place.
