Did Todd Chrisley’s Multi-Million Dollar House Sale Pay Restitution?
Many Chrisley Knows Best fans believed that the big white house owned by Todd Chrisley in Brentwood, Tennessee, ended up in a trust allocated to, or administered by Chase. However, it turned out that it was sold some time ago. Did Todd and Julie use the cash to pay restitution?
Todd Chrisley And Julie Have To Pay Restitution
When the former Chrisley Knows Best stars were sentenced for fraud and tax-related crimes they were ordered by the courts to pay restitution. That is not unusual in cases where people might have lost money because of dodgy business dealings. Now, it turns out that the big home seems to have sold for a profit, and the money might be used to pay back money as ordered by the courts.
Savannah stepped up to help to try and pay the $17 million restitution money, even though she didn’t need to. Actually, she seemed to take a different attitude to Todd Chrisleyl’s legal team who felt that paying restitution might look like an admission of guilt. And, the former Chrisley Knows Best stars maintained they were innocent from the beginning of the tax investigation.

The Big House Sold For $5.2 Million
According to TMZ, the Tennessee house sold for more than the purchase price. Five years ago, the couple paid $3.375M for the property. And the recent news that they sold it for $5.2 million means there might be a good profit. On Reddit, people wondered if the profit would go to paying off the restitution. An OP wrote:
The big, white house evidently was sold to someone outside of the family!
OMG! The big, white house is gone from the Chrisley family since April of 2023. Julie no longer owns it. Sold for a little over $5M cash. Evidently it was not purchased by Chase’s trust, after all. Young married couple in their 40’s bought it! Interesting. The Chrisley’s prolly took the profit from the sale of the house and invested it to earn more money in case they do have to pay restitution. But I’m just guessing. I don’t know what they did with the profit. Any ideas?
Todd Chrisley never pleaded guilty or took the plea deal because he claimed innocence. So, it seems likely that his lawyers might have managed to get him to hold off paying with the profits of the house sale. However, a lot of Chrisley Knows Best fans think they probably did pay it in as restitution.
- It will sit in a trust with [their] Attorneys and during [the] hearing they will offer up $$$ towards debts. Not sure how much they made off [the] house sale but every cent counts.
- The proceeds will go toward restitution. It will also pay their attorney’s fees which have to be hefty considering they’re throwing everything at the wall in a desperate attempt to get something to stick. 😵💫
- they are working on their restitution. with the latest [Georgia] court win… I am thinking [that with] their upcoming appeal in April T&J are starting to pay up to look better in court.
What are your thoughts? Do you think that the home sale profits might pay some restitution so that Todd and Julie Chrisley look better during the oral argument appeal that they were granted? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, and come back here for all your Chrisley Knows Best news.
