The Today Show viewers were already on edge when Hoda Kotb went missing from the show. Now, fans are wondering if she’s planning to quit after something she posted via Instagram. Turns out, she posted a quote about “quitting your job on a whim.”
Now, some fans of The Today Show saw the chunk of text about “quitting your job” and panicked. There, however, was a deeper message with this quote. And, it had little to do with quitting a job.
“You may believe that living life to the fullest is seeing every country in the world and quitting your job on a whim and falling recklessly in love, but it’s really just knowing how to be where your feet are.” The first line of the post read.
Her Post Actually Meant The Opposite
With this post, Hoda Kotb was trying to tell people that living life to the fullest doesn’t require a grand gesture like quitting a job.
The post continued: “It’s learning how to take care of yourself, how to make a home within your own skin. It’s learning how to build a simple life you are proud of. A life most fully lived is not always composed of things that rock you away, but those that slowly assure you it’s ok to slow down.”
As the post went on, it explained that living life didn’t have to be about fighting or always wanting more. Furthermore, it explained that a person would never be happy if they didn’t find joy in the small things.
This quote was written by someone else, but Hoda connected with it enough to share it with her followers. She, however, decided not to add much to it so she added a simple “Happy Thursday” and a red heart emoji to the caption.
