The synopsis for the show wasn’t really anything out of the ordinary for the mining show. According to Pogdesign, “The Beets family implodes trying to get the Paradise Hill trommel running. Parker starts sluicing Australia Creek and finds a big surprise. Rick makes an all-or-nothing decision to return to Rally Valley.” As usual, it seems that the Beets family struggles to get the team working together, which impacts production.

Rick Ness is back at Rally Valley and the heat is on for him to make or break. Edge-of-the-seat stuff for those people who love Gold Rush. Meanwhile, Parker Schnabel thinks about selling off expensive machinery if he doesn’t meet his targets. Of course, it’s all or nothing for him, which makes some people question the reality of the Discovery Channel show. Irrespective, there’s no denying that something else shocked a viewer who shared a screenshot on Reddit.

What Shocked The Viewer?

The OP seemed taken aback by the screenshot because they didn’t expect to see it on Discovery Channel. Perhaps it was missed in the edits because it only shows for a few seconds:

Watching the latest episode “Succession”, I noticed they showed a “F🍁ck TRUDEAU” flag over Parkers camp. Kind of shocking they didn’t censor it… [It] remains on-screen for 9 seconds.

In the discussion that followed, many people doubted that it was Parker’s camp. Additionally, it became clear that plenty of miners fly the flag or display it in Canada. Therefore, seeing it in Gold Rush didn’t shock the socks off everybody.

  • I don’t think that was over Parker’s camp, but the family they visited in that episode.
  • Parker keeps his yard MUCH neater. He is also an American (from Haines AK), but he is mining in the Yukon Territory in Canada. Why take the risk of pissing off any government agency? He’s a much better businessman than that.
  • I don’t see why they would censor it no matter where it was. It’s a common sentiment among miners whose lives Trudeau has made much harder.
  • It isn’t Parker’s site. It is the McCaughans site…It isn’t really profanity, because it is censored already…It wouldn’t matter if it wasn’t censored, because Gold Rush is not broadcast on regular TV, and on cable and streaming it is usually rated TV MA Coarse Language…Providing of course you actually noticed…what the flag said in the 9 secs out of 5,013 seconds of the show.

What are your thoughts about the “F🍁ck TRUDEAU” flag that wasn’t censored? Do you think it was in Parker Schnabel’s camp? Let us know in the comments below and check back here for all your news about Gold Rush. The show airs at 8 p.m., Eastern, on Discovery.
