What Prompted Gerry Turner’s Change Of Heart On Moving?
Gerry Turner lives in lives in Hudson, Indiana, overlooking a lovely lake but he considered moving after he and Theresa Nist tied the knot. Initially, word arrived that they might relocate to Charleston in South Carolina. In fact, her brother Vinny and her son Tommy live in the state. But now, it seems that the first Golden Bachelor has changed his mind about moving there. Why is that? Read on to find out.
Gerry Turner Wouldn’t Move According To His Dad
Initially, Golden Bachelor fans thought that Theresa Nist’s man would not leave Indiana. Why would he? He has family there, and his home is beautiful, after all. Even his dad, Everett, and his wife doubted he would leave his home and family for someone else. However, stories of a move persisted. Theresa seemed happy in her home in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. So, compromising with a move to South Carolina seemed the way the ABC couple would jump.
Now that the Golden Wedding happened, the couple departed for their honeymoon courtesy of ABC. If you don’t know, they spend their time in Italy. But, where will they settle when they finally return and get into the realities of daily life? Apparently, the move to South Carolina was ditched as Gerry Turner had second thoughts on it. Did he clash with Theresa’s son Tommy at their wedding?
No Move To South Carolina – Why?
It doesn’t seem to be any sort of issue between Tommy Nist and his mom’s new husband, that changed the Golden Bachelor‘s mind about moving. Instead, Monsters and Critics reported that he decided he liked New Jersey. The outlet reminded fans that ahead of the Golden Wedding, the couple talked with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Live with Kelly and Mark.
At the time, the ABC star said:
You know, early on, we thought Charleston would be a great area, I talked about living there [and] she has family there. But since being in New Jersey a few times, I really like the area.
Mind you, he didn’t say that moving to New Jersey is set in stone. Of course, it helps that both of the Golden Wedding stars have good net worths between the couple. Imagine having to choose between a stunning home with a view in Indiana, or a stunning home in South Carolina. New Jersey has some nice places with access to the ocean, as well.
Hopefully, as they grow older together, Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner won’t regret staying in New Jersey, which seems likely. After all, both Indiana and New Jersey have much colder winters than Charleston does. Time will tell where they finally settle, and for now, relocating is probably the furthest thing on their mind as they presumably “knock boots” on their honeymoon.

I give them one year of marriage. All the things he lied about, this is just another. Not wanting to move to Charleston. They will say just what you want to her. Than it all change after you marry them MEN.
I don’t think that anything concerning this couple is anyone’s business. Any marriage does not come with a 100 percent guarantee! They both have had long term success in their past marriages.. They will and can make their own decisions on what will work for them period !!
