After Gerry Turner Gets Slammed, Ben Higgins Offers Advice
Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner recently got married to Theresa Nist. It seems some of his past has come to light leading up to the wedding. After being slammed by his ex-girlfriend, former Bachelor Ben Higgins tries to give him some advice. What advice did he give to the 72-year-old newlywed?
Gerry’s Past Gets Exposed
Gerry Turner has an unnamed ex-girlfriend who is ready to expose his lies. According to Life&Style, the two supposedly dated only a month after Gerry’s late wife died. When she spoke out about it, she expressed great disgust about dating a widow so soon after their significant other passed.
“The idea that I’d go out with a recent widower just mortifies me, I just really didn’t see it. Until I went back and looked at my text messages, I never realized Gerry’s texts had turned hot and heavy so relatively soon.”
This shocked Bachelor Nation as no one expected Turner to move on so soon. However, this could have been how he was trying to cope with losing his wife.

Ben Higgins Gives Gerry Turner Best Advice
After hearing the backlash Gerry was getting, Ben Higgins stepped in and offered advice that he would give to any Bachelor or Bachelorette.
“My advice to them I mean, it’s hard to give somebody in their 70s advice, honestly. But my advice to them would be to keep your head on straight, like I would anybody that does this show, and don’t let the negatives or the positives over influence you. So, stay consistent with who you’ve been and who you are. And don’t let this wild world that happens fast and that can you know spit you up and turn you around real quick and mess with you too much.”
Being on reality TV you open your whole life up to the world. So, is Gerry shocked this came out? Or did he expect this to happen all along? However, it seems as though the newlyweds have already discussed the issue and moved past it as they got married. An inside source of Life&Style explained how Theresa trusts Gerry.
“It does cause some red flags for the family, what else can he lie about if he did this? Will something else come out? But he and Theresa have spoken about it and she trusts him and they have moved past it.”
