Fans Say ‘Sister Wives’ Season 19 Needs Big Intro Change
While Sister Wives Season 19 hasn’t officially been announced yet, fans already want to see a change to the intro. They even have ideas.
A lot has happened throughout the last few years of Sister Wives. Kody Brown’s life has changed considerably with first Christine leaving and then Janelle and Meri walking away from the life they shared together. It’s time for the intro to fit the change to the story.
Reflecting the Change in Sister Wives
The intro to Sister Wives has changed a little over the years. At first, it was the Male symbol with three Female symbols connected to it. Those symbols reflected Meri, Janelle, and Christine. After all, the first season saw Robyn join the family, so it made sense that there would only be three Female symbols at first.
It took some time for the symbols to change as the seasons progressed. This isn’t that surprising considering how much it costs to create new opening credits of shows. Fans just have to look at scripted to see how the opening credits tend to stay the same every season—unless you’re Supernatural that is! However, it’s rare for a TLC series to change its credits with each season.
Sister Wives Season 19 Isn’t Officially Happening Yet
It is worth pointing out that the series isn’t renewed just yet. TLC does tend to be on the quiet side when it comes to renewing shows. Sometimes, fans find out a series is renewed because they find out the premiere date for the new season. However, Sister Wives is one of those that a lot of people talk about.
It likely will be renewed. Fans are getting to watch the special right now focusing on Christine’s wedding with new husband David Woolley. It is only a matter of time before fans learn that there will be more to the Browns’ story. After all, the family is still active on social media and keeps a strong and loyal following. The series is also one of the strongest performers on the network. There just may be a shift in the storytelling.
What Do Fans Want to See the Opening Credits Change To?
Fans took to Reddit to discuss what they would like to see in the 19th season. Most specifically, they want to see the intro change. Nothing major needs to happen. It’s all about the title card, where the ‘I’ in ‘Wives’ has four angel wings. Fans would like to see three of the wings fall off, connecting to the three wives leaving and moving on with their lives.
One fan said: “If there’s another season, and production/design doesn’t have 3 wings slip off the ‘I’ in Wives, during the opening title…That’ll be SUCH a missed opportunity”
